The Fresh Connection Simulation Workshop
New Opportunity for APICS Members/Colleagues

APICS Twin Cities Chapter is pleased to partner with The Fresh Connection to offer a new opportunity to enhance your skills as an Operations and Supply Chain Professional utilizing the simulation tool!

About this Workshop:

Having the right product, for the right customer, at the right quantity, at the right price, at the right time, in the right place, and in the right condition is one of the top challenges of supply chain and logistics personnel. Logistics is one of the main points of focus to accomplish this and is the part of supply chain management that plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective forward and reverses flow and storage of goods, services between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customers' requirements.

In simple terms it means a company must decide where “north on the compass is”, work to have everyone “rowing the boat in the same direction”, and lastly, build and implement a culture where “everyone plays in the sandbox nicely together’.

This workshop will teach you the following:

  • Logistics is a value added proposition and not a cost proposition

  • The elements of setting up and managing a logistics network

  • The cross-functional nature of Logistics Management

  • The decisions you have to make in managing and leading Logistics efforts
