  • Knowing how business strategies are developed and how operation strategies are implemented

Objectives:

  • Explain manufacturing, Just-In-Time (JIT), total quality management (TQM), manufacturing strategy, organizational structure, human resource policies, and business strategy.
  • Analyze how global distribution, international issues, and information technology affect the supply chain and the strategic relationship of its members.
  • Identify requirements for the cost-management process, methods and benefits, and the advantages and limitations of using cost-management data for operational decisions.
  • Describe the managerial considerations in project selection and assessment, including intangible and tangible considerations and process benefits.
