It is so easy to call a meeting these days.  Just a meeting invite, a cursory check of the attendee calendars and it’s game on. But how much thought goes into a meeting like this?  Does everyone just sort of “know” what needs to happen?

There is pre-work to be done.  There are questions about who to invite and what do they need to bring to the meeting.  “Just show up and wing it” is no longer a realistic management style.

If you’ve ever attended a meeting that is a waste of time and a source of confusion, then you know that it’s not easy.  But the meeting may not be the problem.  Planning for a meeting, setting a goal and an agenda, determining who the attendees need to be.  Making sure that appropriate voices are represented and that attendees know what is expected of them.

We will work through creating a specific, focused meeting and help you to create your own version that makes sense.

Attendees will learn the best practices around meeting design and understand the characteristics of a good meeting.  When completed, we will have a framework and a process for a Supplier Performance Review meeting that can be used in your company.  And, you’ll have the tools to create your own meeting while following these best practices.  You’ll also be able to critique your own meetings, in the spirit of continuous improvement.

What if you are not the meeting designer?  We’ll show you how to ask questions prior to someone else’s meeting, so that you’ll be properly prepared.  And in doing so, you’ll secretly plant the seeds to improve other meetings that your company requires.
